Nottingham City Council is currently recruiting for Home Care workers, who will work in the community providing care for citizens in their own homes. Opportunities are available for both day time and evening work with various contracted hours ranging from 17.5hrs a week to 22.75 hours per week. (no zero hour contracts)

To provide safe and appropriate personalised care and support to citizens in a way that that maintains their dignity, maximises independence and gives them choice and control over the way their care is provided. To work in any area of Adult Social Care, whether in the home, the community or within a Council establishment.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS;

1. Ability to undertake personal care tasks as detailed in the citizens Care Plan / Implementation of Care Plans and contribution to running records and daily monitoring forms.

2. Willingness to undertake training and development, as necessary, to enhance the service (e.g. QCF2 Health & Social Care)

3. Knowledge and understanding of the rights, needs and feelings of vulnerable adults from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.

4. Understand the need for confidentiality and an ability to maintain it.

Full induction, training and support given (you are paid when undertaking training).
