To provide a comprehensive safeguarding service to colleagues working in schools and other educational settings including, non-maintained and independent schools, academies, city technological colleges, education support services and further education institutions. This will include the development and provision of a comprehensive safeguarding training programme; the provision of support, advice and guidance in relation to safeguarding; and the development and implementation of quality assurance across schools.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- To have significant experience of undertaking safeguarding duties in a school / education or partner agency setting

- Ability to set the highest possible service standards for work quality, adherence to deadlines and procedural requirements

- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, policy and procedures in respect of children and vulnerable adults

- Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate an effective training programme to a variety of professionals
