Change of day for new hockey club sessions

If you were getting ready for the first FREEsport Back to Hockey session on Wednesday (3 August), you need to know that we've had to move it to tonight (Monday 1 August) from 8 to 9pm.

The free sessions, run by Nottingham Players Hockey Club, will continue on Monday evenings until 22 August. They're ideal for people who haven't played for a while or complete beginners and will take place at Nottingham Hockey Centre. You will learn to stop and push the ball so you can play in a small-sided game and have a run around. Afterwards it can turn into a social occasion if you want to stay for a drink and a chat in the centre's bar.

When you come to the end of your FREEsport introductory sessions, you'll be able to join the club to continue playing and improving your technique in the company of your new sporting friends.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the change to the hockey sessions.

FREEsport is offering a range of other free sports sessions, including archery, badminton, tennis, netball and golf, at indoor and outdoor venues across the city until March next year. See what else is on offer at www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/freesport. If there's nothing that takes your fancy, tell us what you would like to do.
