The Childcare Provider Survey provides vital information for
the Local Authority Sufficiency Assessment, securing of sufficient childcare
places to meet local parental needs across the City, identifying areas in the City where there may be a
need to develop new childcare, especially with the impending 30 hours.

Accurate information on all childcare provision in the City may
help prevent childcare places being developed unnecessarily as there has been a
lot of interest recently from potential new childcare providers in the City.
