This is an exciting and challenging role in delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across a varied portfolio of properties, for Nottingham City Council and their partner’s. The role will allow you to be creative, whilst using your trade skills, expertise and knowledge in delivery of maintenance and minor project works. You will have an opportunity to contribute new ideas to a developing team in an excellent atmosphere, where recognition of contribution is at its core, with opportunities for you to further develop your skills.

This role will enhance colleagues, clients and citizens experience, within the built environment, whilst contributing to building on the reputation of the authority.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1) To be qualified in Building, Mechanical or Electrical Services. Whilst all trade qualifications will be acceptable the proffered trade skill for the advertised role is of an Electrical biased trade.

2) To manage property related planned and reactive maintenance across all disciplines, ensuring compliance to statutory and legislative requirements is maintained, using appointed supply chains. To monitor, supply chain activities and undertake audit inspections across all assets.

3) To provide specialist advice to clients, internal departments and external developers.

4) To undertake responsibility for programme delivery and monitoring.

Needs to be able to travel between sites. Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and access restricted places. Must be able to work on own initiative. To be fully conversant with H & S requirements attaining to specialism.

This job role required standard DBS check.
