It’s all happening at your local library and it’s totally FREE!
The Big Friendly Read, Summer Reading Challenge 2016 is your chance to join in the whizzpopping fun! Libraries everywhere are celebrating 100 years of the world’s favourite storyteller - Roald Dahl.
Sign up at your local library to take the challenge to read 6 or more books, and that means anything: picture books, fact books or stories from your favourite authors - all you have to do is borrow them from the library. Younger children can share
books with their families and enjoy taking part too.
Collect special collector cards and rewards along the way and receive a medal and certificate if you succeed.
It’s fun, it’s friendly and best of all - it’s totally free!
There are lots of free activities across our libraries to get involved in too. Roald Dahl themed events for children and families to enjoy including crafts, games and much more.
A Boy and a Bear in a Boat
