Nottingham Craft Beer Week 4 - 10 July

 

The only one of its kind outside London, Craft Beer Week will take place at bars and bottle shops around the city including Jam Café, Crafty Crow, Ned Ludd, Kean’s Head, Trent Navigation, Poppy & Pint, The Canalhouse, Boilermaker, Junkyard Bottle Shop & Pour House, The Ocean State Tavern at Annie's Burger Shack and Brew Cavern. New Exhibition at Nottingham Castle from 9 July 
Evelyn Gibbs - In Peace and Wartime


A look at the life and work of the British painter Evelyn Gibbs (1905-1991), focusing on a series of etchings and drawings created after she was evacuated to Nottingham during WWII.  The exhibition will also include a feature of the recent restoration of a mural she painted at St. Martins Church in Bilborough, previously thought to have been destroyed in the 1970s. Poetry Fun Day at Newstead Abbey
Sunday 10 July

Head to Newstead Abbey for a fun day out, with guided tours of the abbey in poetry, children’s games, craft activities, a detective trail, ukulele music and the launch of a guide to the abbey in poems, entitled ‘Windows and Shadows’. Entry is £10 per car, including parking and entry to the Abbey. Find out more.
