2 posts - Southglade Leisure Centre - 22 hours per week, Clifton Leisure Centre - 6 hours per week.

Nottingham City Leisure Centres are looking for highly motivated people whom can help provide great customers service whilst promoting and selling the leisure centre facilities. You will be the first point of contact for visitors/customers and will need to be able to take appropriate admission fees for various different activities ranging from Tennis court bookings through to swim lessons. The receptionist role is one of the most important roles within the centre and we are looking for keen team players who are passionate about making people feel welcome and encouraging them to exercise regularly. 

Essential Requirements

-       Ability to use a till or computer keyboard, accurately record numbers handle cash

-       Ability to communicate with a wide range of people and deal with problems that may arise whilst working under pressure.

-       Ability to work on own initiative making decisions if and when required but also work as part of a team and be flexible with duties undertaken.

-       Have a keen interest in leisure and the service we provide.

Are you a Teacher of the Visually Impaired with experience of working with visually impaired children and young people who is looking for a new challenge?

Do you have high expectations and are you committed to improving outcomes for visually impaired young people?

Would you welcome the opportunity to be working within a well-established Sensory team, working directly with visually impaired pupils, their schools and families providing direct teaching, consultancy and delivering training to schools and other providers

Do you have the flexibility to work across a range of schools and across all ages, abilities and Key stages?

Are you committed to continual professional development and exploring innovative ways of working?

We are looking to appoint for January 2017 or sooner if possible a qualified highly motivated and experienced teacher who can work in partnership with schools and families to promote the inclusion and independence of visually impaired children and young people.

Applications are also welcomed from good teachers in mainstream schools looking to develop their career in working with pupils with a visual impairment. You must be willing to undertake specialist training for this post, ie undertake a 2 year distance learning course, via Birmingham University.
