Nottingham City Sport and Leisure have a number of exciting opportunities to join teams working across 8 Leisure Centres. We offer a range of programmes and facilities and are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are able to provide a great service in a safe, clean and friendly environment. Having a professional approach you will ensure our customers have the best experience possible.

You will hold the National Pool Lifeguard and ensure the safety of those using the swimming pools through supervision of sessions and controlling access. You will be required to set up, break down and store equipment as necessary and carry out other duties throughout the centre.

We provide ongoing training and development and access to a number of employee benefits.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

2. Able to work shifts and flexible hours to cover for the needs of the service.

3. Ability to carry out cleaning duties and to maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness whilst recording basic information accurately on checklists and other corporate forms

4. Ability to deal with general customer enquiries in a pleasant manner.

Various part and full time hours available at:

Victoria, South glade, Ken Martin, Djanogly and Clifton Leisure Centres

Nottingham City Council’s HR & Transformation Team are seeking a Temporary Change Consultant to lead a new approach to recruitment for the organisation.

What we are looking for is a professional who has knowledge & understanding of change models, methods, tools and techniques, the ability to analyse complex issues and problems and devise and implement effective, creative and innovative solutions. Most importantly you should have experience of managing change in a complex organisation applying systems thinking and business improvement techniques. You must be an effective communicator who is able to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation and to negotiate and influence effectively. Employee Engagement and Stakeholder management will be a key focus of this role as will the ability to draft and implement a robust communication strategy

To undertake cleaning in areas of the facility maintaining high standards of cleanliness and record all cleaning undertaken on appropriate forms and checklists ensuring a safe environment is maintained reporting any faults or defects in the facility. Working within COSHH regulations and wearing protective clothing where necessary. Maintaining customer service facilities such as litterbins, toilet roll dispensers and nappy changing areas to a high standard.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility
- Ability to check areas for cleanliness and safety and work on  your own initiative to provide service
- Ability to work as part of a team and be flexible within duties undertaken
- Able to work flexible hours to cover for the needs of the service

To investigate and respond to queries in relation to Penalty Charge and Fixed Penalty Notices either by telephone or in writing including preparing criminal prosecution files and case histories.

Present evidence in person at Traffic Penalty Tribunal hearings or give evidence in court as appropriate.

Liaise with relevant officers in respect of witness statements and verify accuracy of details of PCN/FPN's to enforce payment.

Carrying out cash receipting and banking of monies received.

To work as part of a team putting team preferences before own.

Working in a confidential environment

To be able to learn about a subject in a short period of time from a position of zero knowledge

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to communicate to a high standard both verbally and in writing dealing with contentious issues and irate citizens.

2. Good IT skills and the ability to quickly learn how to use specialist in house software.

3. Ability to work on own personal initiative and with minimum supervision working accurately to meet deadlines.

4. Strong self-motivation together with a flexible and committed approach to work.
