To assist the Assistant Catering Manager to organise, provide and oversee the highest quality café and catering private hire facilities for the heritage sites as required.

This would include an active role in the preparation and service of food and beverages.

3. Ability to act as a licensee and comply with all statutory legal requirements

Nottingham City Council is looking to appoint Service Manager (Duty Service).

The job role involves managing a front door Children's Duty service, Out of Hours Emergency Duty team and the Domestic Abuse Referral Team.

You will be responsible for the safe running of the service ensuring threshold for new referrals to the service are responded to in a timely way safeguarding children.

You will work closely with colleagues in Early Help, Targeted Services and Social Care to ensure the right support is offered to children and families at the right time preventing escalation of concerns which warrant Specialist services.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1 Professional qualification in social work, registered with the HCPC and evidence of post-qualifying learning in management development

2 Through effective leadership able to manage quality, performance and people

3 Work with internal and external partners towards continuous service improvements promoting integrated working practices

4 Ability to motivate colleagues, driving change and improvement to offer the best service to children and families

Fixed Term for 3 years

We are seeking a highly competent individual with a range of project leadership, management and development experience to take a leading role in promoting housing delivery in Nottingham. The successful candidate will need to have a track record in delivering housing regeneration and be able to take the client or ‘project owner’ role when leading significant projects. We are looking for a candidate with a wide strategic understanding of the issues affecting housing development and affordable housing including the impact of changes in legislation and Government priorities.

This role will put you at heart of a busy team of dedicated officers focused on achieving corporate priorities, leaving a lasting legacy of improvement in terms of physical development and enhanced facilities for citizens. The ability to facilitate excellent working relationships with our ALMO Nottingham City Homes and with other development partners will be essential.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. This post requires an individual with strong leadership skills who is capable of managing a team of officers and assist in shaping service delivery.

2. The successful candidate will be expected to provide advice and insight to unlock development and attract funding as well as supporting team members in their professional development.

3. Applicants should be excellent communicators and negotiators. The job will bring you into contact with senior Council Officers and Executive Councillors as well as a wide range of external partners, so you will need to demonstrate a proven track record in building relationships whilst promoting the Council’s aims and interests. Located in the Development Department, the Regeneration Service works in close partnership with other sections of the Council.

4. The successful candidate will need to understand development viability and finance in order to produce robust business cases to inform decision making.

This post is Politically Restricted under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989, Section 2.
