Fixed Term until 31st March 2019 Supporting the delivery of the D2N2 ESIF strategy with a dedicated focus on European Social Fund (ESF) activities in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Promoting calls for ESF applications, working with stakeholders to actively promote market opportunities. Working with local partners and businesses to develop project ideas in line with the ESIF strategy and establish a pipeline of high quality propositions for bids to ESF. Providing high quality technical advice and guidance on new and current partnerships/networks/consortia bidding for and securing ESF. Providing advice and guidance to project managers on the implementation of projects funded through ESF, to ensure projects are compliant with EU guidance. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Knowledge, experience and expertise of EU funding programmes (particularly ESF) and procedures in an economic development context. 2. Experience of submitting project funding bids through EU or similar programmes. 3. Understanding of the structure of the local economy, particularly relating to employment and skills. 4.
