• To organise and attend meetings in a minute taker capacity and produce an accurate record of the meeting and action points.

• A proportion of this roles time will be spent processing invoices from commissioned services, suppliers and partner agencies using the Oracle Finance System.

To assist the Service Manager – Traffic & Safety in leadership and management of the team, development of policies and strategies To contribute to the Cycle Ambition Programme and Road space Transformation Programme for the City and the development and delivery of new approaches to the cycling and place making agendas. To contribute to the design and implementation of the road space transformation implementation plan for Nottingham through the Local Transport Plan process.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1.To lead the delivery of transportation and highway priorities within the Highway Design Service, ensuring projects within the team are run efficiently and within agreed deadlines and costs.
2. To prepare contract documentation for the purpose of tendering or procuring works through best value, evaluation of tenders, provide recommendations and effectively manage contractors.
3. To assist in setting and maintaining performance measures and structures for the purpose of tracking team performance, tackling issues that arise.
4. To build networks and relationships across the service and council ensuring an excellent and accessible customer service to Councillors, Citizens, the business community, community groups, the Emergency Services general public.

We are currently recruiting for Home Care workers, who will work in the community providing care for citizens in their own homes. There are opportunities available for both day time and evening work with various hours. Men are particularly welcome to apply.

• To provide safe and appropriate personalised care and support to citizens in a way that maintains their dignity, maximises independence and gives them choice and control over the way their care is provided.

• To work in any area of Adult Social Care, whether in the home, the community or within a Council establishment.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to undertake personal care tasks as detailed in the citizens Care Plan / Implementation of Care Plans and contribution to running records and daily monitoring forms.

2. Willingness to undertake training and development, as necessary, to enhance the service (eg QCF2 Health & Social Care)

3. Knowledge and understanding of the rights, needs and feelings of vulnerable adults from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.

4. Understand the need for confidentiality and an ability to maintain it.

To take a lead role in developing public transport projects -  managing their feasibility, development, funding and implementation.  Assist managing the operation and effectiveness of the City Council’s public transport duties.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Up to date understanding of current issues, policies and good practice in the field of public transport policy, operations, development and integration
2. An ability to lead the implementation of public transport improvement initiatives and schemes within a partnership setting
3. Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility for developing new public transport initiatives and projects and to organise own workload with a minimum of supervision ensuring that performance targets are met
4. Experience in project planning, management and implementation including cost and project control systems
