This is a job-share working hours are Wed and Fri, but this is flexible some evenings, weekends and bank holidays

The Post-holder will be required to work across all Nottingham Museum sites, and also within community settings.  The 14.8 hours includes facilitation of Illuminate, young arts collective, who meet on Wednesday afternoons so this day is essential.

This is a key post within the Learning, Engagement & Collections Team, to broaden the diversity of visitors, focussing on those who are not currently fully represented in the visitor profile for Nottingham City Museums & Galleries. The Community Programmes Officer works in partnership with external agencies and community groups to connect people with the museums, collections and exhibitions.  The approach is one of participation and co-production, enabling Nottingham citizens to develop their skills and experience and to take ownership and lead the direction of particular projects, with support from the Community Programmes Officer and other museum staff.  The post works with a range of audiences, and is lead for the children and young people programme and the museums young art collective, Illuminate.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Previous experience of engaging diverse community groups with museum sites and collections is desirable, however, most important is experience of working in partnership with other agencies in the community to deliver shared objectives that meet the needs of diverse groups and individuals
2. The ability to work creatively and imaginatively across a range of different sites, subjects and wide-ranging collections and exhibitions, whilst also understanding practical limitations.  This requires the ability to quickly learn about a new subject, and to translate that into appropriate activities for specific audiences
3. Experience of managing projects effectively including; managing budget, grant applications, setting and meeting deadlines, monitoring and evaluating impact
4. Experience of co-ordinating, motivating and empowering others including facilitation of sessions

• To lead a team responsible for developing and implementing public transport projects and systems in Nottingham

• Lead the development of a fully documented and accountable smartcard ticketing retail network across Greater Nottingham. Project manages the full implementation and maintenance of this network.

• Lead, negotiate and manage a range of service level agreements with local operators and neighbouring councils relating to the provision of information and ticketing services.

• To be responsible for the management of the Public Transport capital budget of circa £2m pa, determining spending priorities and budget allocations and monitoring financial performance of all elements of the work of the team.

• To be responsible for the maintenance and development of existing public transport information, ticketing and infrastructure systems of a value around £8m.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience of successfully leading multi-disciplinary project work.

• Experience of delivering urban public transport systems and projects within complex partnerships.

• Experience of managing professional grade staff and consultants to deliver. Maintain and develop projects.

• Thorough and detailed awareness of current and developing public transport systems within a local government setting.

To be responsible for dealing with Council Tax administration and Recovery. To deal directly with customers of the service over the telephone, in writing and face to face to accurately administer Council Tax and maximise collection through a variety of debt collection methods.

Essential requirements:

1. A basic knowledge of effective income collection techniques.

2. Ability to show initiative in responding to the customer requirements and taking measures to ensure that work is dealt with through to resolution.

3. Experience of directly dealing with customers across a range of access channels and resolving queries.

To provide advice, triage and co-ordinate information to enable decision making and risk management on behalf of citizens requesting / requiring access to social care and health services, and to navigate citizens through to the right services based on an assessment of their needs.
To assist in the delivery of an efficient and effective referral service for vulnerable adults sometimes with complex needs and/or difficult and unpredictable situations. Having a good understanding of the variety of services that are available to meet the individual’s needs.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Knowledge of, or ability to learn about, all core and specialist services and their criteria in order to triage and signpost all calls appropriately in a timely and efficient manner.
2. Excellent communication skills; over the phone or face to face, with the ability to deal with potentially aggressive, emotional and challenging behaviours, including listening and writing skills.
3. Ability to work with a degree of independence to analyse, prioritise, organise and delegate workload in order to co-ordinate appropriate care packages, manage risk and urgency and meet deadlines linking in with senior colleagues and specialist services to enable relevant outcomes.
4. Ability to work alongside clinicians and professional support in order to assess risk and manage complex situations which may involve safeguarding and risk management.

HSC Officers are responsible for assessing and providing advice to citizens at the point of contact and liaising with other teams and professionals in order to navigate citizens through to the correct service. This is a good opportunity to gain experience in the Social Care sector, and would be ideal for someone who would be keen to get into further Social Work roles as there is a lot of telephone contact with citizens and citizen groups. HSC Officers will complete telephone assessments and will need to analyse information in order to prioritise cases and determine which team or service would be appropriate.  There is one full time and one part time vacancy. Both of these roles are within the Nottingham Health and Care Point, which is a triage service and is based at Aspect House.

You will hold a recognised Social Work Qualification, (MA, BA (hons) or BSc (hons) Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, CSS) with HCPC registration, have completed your ASYE year and will be experienced in working with children and families.  Proven experience of court work, undertaking in-depth assessments, preparation of high quality reports and presenting them in a formal setting is essential, as is your ability to manage child protection cases.  To be considered for a Level 3 post you should in addition, be able to demonstrate your ability to manage complex, multi-faceted child protection cases.  You will also be able to apply your significant knowledge and practice to guiding, supporting and mentoring other workers.

As a Level 2 you will receive a minimum starting salary of £29,854 (inclusive of temporary market supplement), and as a Level 3 you will receive a minimum salary of £34,196 (inclusive of temporary market supplement).  In addition you will have the benefit from supportive and proactive management and a genuine commitment to you and your career development with a clearly defined career path.  Additionally, we have family friendly policies, a final salary pension scheme and an award winning employee benefits scheme.

You will possess a full driving licence, have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel both inside and outside of the City Council area as required. An enhanced DBS check will also be required.

The post holder will mainly cover regulation and compliance work in the non-domestic energy market, energy metering and wholesale energy market. The work in regulation will involve summarising obligations, briefing and training colleagues, and supporting business changes driven by regulation. There is also scope for providing input into consultations, industry code modifications and government initiatives impacting the way Robin Hood Energy operates. Compliance work will require monitoring the activities of Robin Hood Energy and it’s business partners to ensure that they meet the relevant obligations. The Regulation and Compliance Analyst will provide input to the Regulations and Compliance Manager to determine the compliance priorities. 

Essential Requirements

- Experience of working within a regulatory framework in the gas and electricity industry.

- Awareness of gas and electricity industry parties and knowledge of data flows.

- Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and written skills, with relevant experience of dealing with senior managers, business managers and third parties.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
