Nottingham wants to welcome a dynamic and enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer to work in the Community Protection Environmental Health team. You will work with council and police colleagues contributing to delivering a safe and clean Nottingham. Having a good understanding of risk with the ability to educate, persuade and influence businesses is essential.

This is a varied role carrying out investigations/interventions, including work with sports grounds safety certification, safety advisory groups and projects such as working with police colleagues and businesses to reduce crime and secure safer entertainment and catering venues.

We are seeking fully qualified EHOs with relevant experience. However, we welcome applications from those newly qualified but awaiting imminent registration with the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB). Successful applicants not registered will initially be employed on a lower grade on a temporary contract, subject to becoming registered with EHRB.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. A degree or diploma in Environmental Health and a certificate of Registration issued by the EHORB
2. Knowledge of environmental health enforcement legislation and its application, particularly with regard to  health and safety, sports grounds safety and licensing
3. Experience of applying environmental health legislation in a wide range of practical situations
4. Ability to negotiate and work with the public, internal customers and outside agencies and bodies
5. Practical knowledge of IT systems including a variety of software packages, in order to word-process documents and maintain databases

To support the Operations & Commercial Trading Team in ensuring the smooth operations of the Heritage Sites. To assist with the operations of the site to deliver exceptional customer service and development.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. To assist the Assistant Retail Manager to organise, provide and oversee the highest quality retail facilities for the heritage sites as required. This would include an active role in serving in cafes, shops & admissions.

2. To operate a cash register, handle cash, cheques, credit cards and weekly banking in accordance with Nottingham City Council’s Financial regulations.

3. To undertake administrative work required for the retail operation including stock, cash, equipment and personnel ensuring financial regulations are adhered to at all time.

4. To assist in the supervision of the shop or café area and staff in the absence of the Assistant Manager including assisting and training newly appointed staff and trainees.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Desk Officer within Fleet Services covering secondment until end of December 2016.

This post will join a small team covering from 06:00- 18:00 hrs on a rotating shift.

You will need to be flexible in work patterns and undertake a range of Workshop duties as and when necessary.

You will provide an effective, focused, Service Reception to the range of Workshop customers providing administrative functions linked to Fleet Services activities.

You will provide high quality customer interface and efficient back office administration.

Working at any Fleet Services Location.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

-You will require excellent communication skills

-Ability to use IT in the use of spreadsheets, email and data, with the ability to learn our

-Fleet Management System

-Excellent customer service skills

-You will have a full driving licence (category B minimum)

-Innovation in problem solving and demand management within a busy Workshop reception environment
