6 Part Time posts available Various hours available between 7 leisure centres across the City Nottingham City Leisure Centres have a number of exciting opportunities for Assistant Swimming Instructors. The successful applicants will join teams working across the city in our state of the art facilities. They will need to be able to assist in the organisation of all resources including registration documents and equipment to be prepared prior to session. They will report to the Swimming Instructor supporting the Swimming Instructor to deliver high quality sessions alongside other members of staff. They need to be positive role models, creating a fun environment in which to motivate and encourage young people to participate. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS - Level 1 or equivalent ASA Teaching Aquatics. - Experience of organising, promoting, teaching & leading sports activities for children and young people. - To be understanding, approachable and able to appreciate the needs of children and young people. They will be able to coordinate, supervise and mentor other coaches supporting delivery of the programme, ensuring quality is maintained throughout including adequate levels of supervision alongside other members of staff. Be a positive role model, creating a fun environment in which to motivate and encourage young people to participate. Meet the targets/goals set by the programme and to produce an evaluation of sessions when required to evidence this. Actively promote session pathways and sustainable opportunities for participants to engage in when appropriate.
