EXHIBITION: THORESBY THE END OF THE MINE Nottingham Central Library, until 28 May Thoresby Colliery, the last pit in Nottinghamshire, closed in July 2015 bringing to an end over 900 years of mining in the county. It also brought to an end a year long photographic project by Chris Upton, an award winning photographer from Southwell, who recorded the pit in its final months. This body of work documenting the site, buildings and people now represents a valuable archive of an important part of our social history. Don't miss this amazing exhibition! Open during normal library opening hours.

Bilborough Library Outdoor Gym
