Nottingham's Broadmarsh transformation project

Proposals to transform the streets around the Broadmarsh area of Nottingham to support the City’s regeneration and help to create thousands of jobs were announced on the 25th April.

robin hood card

Kangaroo becomes Robin Hood Card

On the 25th April Kangaroo products under the Citycard brand were re-branded "Robin Hood Card".

There is no change to the cards functionality. Those who go into the travel centre to renew their card will now be given a Robin Hood Card and the on bus paper tickets will also be changed.

Cycle City update

Western Corridor

The City Council's Western Corridor, phase 1 cycle route construction programme continues with the next phase of work to be completed by approximately 17th June 2016.

Southern Corridor

Construction of the Southern Cycle Corridor commences 23rd May with the first phase of works taking place along the eastern footway of Farnborough Road. For more information please visit the Cycle City Website.

Beat the Street

Beat the Street is a fun, free game for the community of Nottingham to see how far you can walk, cycle and run around your area and into space!. The challenge began on 27th April and will end on 8th June. There are lots of prizes up for grabs both for individuals and teams.

Midlands Connect

Midlands Connect is a collaboration of 28 local authorities, 11 Local Enterprise Partnerships, Network Rail, Highways England, central government and the business community working together to produce a transport strategy for the Midlands.

Ring Road Completion

Last month saw the £16.2m Ring Road improvement scheme draw to an end. The scheme which began on July 1 2013 with £12.8m from the Department for Transport and £3.4m from the City Council has seen new, safer road crossings and cycle facilities at key points along the route, better road surfaces and additional lanes at hot spots to allow vehicles to pass through more easily.
