 There are two new calls open in the D2N2 (Nottingham/shire and Derby/shire) Local Enterprise Partnership area.
ERDF Priority Axis 5: Promoting climate change adaptation, risk prevention and management (Please note that the main priority for this is the Lower Derwent valley area in Derbyshire).
ERDF Priority Axis 6: Preserving and Protecting the Environment and Promoting Resource Efficiency
There are two Investment Priorities for PA6:
6d - Protecting and restoring biodiversity and soil and promoting ecosystem services, including through Natura 2000, and green infrastructure.
- This is specifically to develop and implement interventions which both protect the environment and support economic growth.
6f - Promoting innovative technologies to improve environmental protection and resource efficiency in the waste sector, water sector and with regard to soil, or to reduce air pollution.
- This is specifically to support businesses to achieve resource efficiency improvements that can generate environmental benefits and support improvements in business performance.

Interreg Europe helps regional and local governments across Europe to develop and deliver better policy.
By creating an environment and opportunities for sharing solutions, it aims to ensure that government investment, innovation and implementation efforts all lead to integrated and sustainable impact for people and place.
Interreg Europe exists to assist three types of beneficiaries:

Public authorities – local, regional and national
-
Managing authorities/intermediate bodies - in charge of the Investment for Growth and Jobs programmes or European Territorial Cooperation

Agencies, research institutes, thematic and non-profit organisations – these types of organisations can also work with Interreg Europe by first engaging with their local policymakers in order to identify options for collaboration with Interreg Europe.
The current call is open until 13th May 2016.

 The Third Health Programme aims to support and complement the work of Member States to achieve the following four objectives:
- Developing innovative and sustainable health systems.
- Increasing access to better and safer healthcare for citizens.
- Promoting health and preventing disease.
- Protecting citizens from cross-border health threats.
A call for transnational projects to deliver these objectives is open with a deadline of 2nd June 2016.

 Future and Emerging Technologies is part of the Excellent Science pillar of the EU's programme for research and innovation, Horizon 2020. It focuses on research beyond what is known, accepted or widely adopted and supports novel and visionary thinking. Funding is available for collaborative research projects to open up new and promising fields of research, technology and innovation.

 The MEDIA sub-programme of Creative Europe supports the EU film and audiovisual industries financially in the development, distribution and promotion of their work. Current open calls (with deadlines) for:
- Support for Film Festivals: 28 April 2016;
- Distribution Automatic Support: 29 April 2016;
- Support for the transnational distribution of European Films: 14 June 2016;
- TV Programming: 26 May 2016;
