Advice Nottingham, Nottingham City Council, the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Credit Union, are hosting in partnership a FREE event in Nottingham for local stakeholders to help plan the improvement of people's financial resilience in the city.

It is hoped that the event will attract a broad range of representation from local community projects, leaders of key organisations as well as workers from all of the services who help people with money issues.

The aim for the day to produce an active Financial Resilience Plan for Nottingham that is led and responsive to people's needs.

This day follows on from a series of successful community events held in four areas of the city: Bestwood, Aspley, St Ann's & Sneinton and Clifton & Meadows, all of which have formed local action plans for financial resilience.

The day will be a mix of presentations, hearing from local people and workshops to prioritise the way forward.

Speakers confirmed:

  • Councillor Graham Chapman, Deputy Leader Nottingham City Council
  • Alison Challenger, Director of Public Health Nottingham City Council
  • Gill Moy, Director of Housing Nottingham City Homes
  • Reverend David McCoulough, Director of Partnerships and Mission, Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham
