The latest
news from Nottingham in Bloom – working with
the community to create a greener and cleaner city for everyone to enjoy.
Clean green Nottingham is best of the bunch!
Nottingham
has won its 22nd Gold award in the East
Midlands in Bloom competition – along with a special regional
award for cleanliness of the city centre. The judges who toured the city in July paid tribute to gardening efforts
by businesses, the universities and the community as well as the City Council
displays.
There
was a special East Midlands in Bloom judges’
award for the beehives at the Cornerhouse. If you haven’t seen them yet, you can find them on the third floor. The two hives together house 120,000 bees, visible through
a viewing window.A member of staff has
received training from Nottinghamshire Bee Keepers' Association. Honey produced is sold for charity, and
the produce from the rooftop vegetable garden is given to homeless charities. Well worth a look - and you also get a bee's eye view of the city!

Field School
in Bilborough are celebrating!They have
