The NHS and its partners in Mid and South Essex have been formally designated an Integrated Care System after developing a system-wide common vision to improve health and care.
Most of the heavy lifting involved in integrating care and improving population health will happen more locally in the places where people live, work and access services. Place-based partnerships within ICSs will therefore play a key role in driving forward change. Community engagement in each areas will be key to shaping these plans. Watch this space for further information about opportunities to get involved.
More information about this can be found on the Mid and South Essex Health and Care Partnership website.

Skin Cancer campaign. Local residents are set to benefit from the roll out of innovative technology by Mid and South Essex Health and Care Partnership. Artificial intelligence (AI) is being used to help GPs spot skin cancers sooner and save lives across mid and south Essex. The technology aids rapid diagnosis and uses a ‘Dermascope’ and AI to enable GPs to make a quick decision on whether a mole or mark is skin cancer or not.
A communication campaign launches today to encourage particular people who we know are most at-risk to spot the sign in the first place.
The campaign is aimed at male outdoor workers and technology supporting the diagnosis of skin cancer. Information and resources supporting this campaign can be found here.
