Milton Keynes SEND strategy 2021-2025- 2024 Action Plans
The current SEND strategy, which started in 2021 and ends in 2025, has been reviewed.
New SEND Strategy action plans, for this academic year, have been developed in collaboration with stakeholders: including EY providers, schools, families, and professionals in education, health and social care.
They highlight the five main priorities of the SEND strategy, provide examples of activities planned for this academic year, explains how success will be measured, and outline how the local partnership will oversee the plans.

Ramadan 2024 – EMA Network
The Islamic calendar is lunar and has 354 or 355 days. Therefore, precise dates cannot be forecast as they depend on the sighting of the moon. In 2024, Ramadan begins on 10 March plus or minus a day, dependent on the moon sighting.
Prayer times for Ramadan may be found on many mosque websites. Eid-ul-Fitr (the festival marking the end of Ramadan) falls on 9th April (plus or minus a day).
Please remember to explore the needs of your Muslim children and staff during the fast. As in previous years, staff will appreciate that the routine of Muslim families is entirely different during Ramadan. Young children may become more tired or excitable during school time, even if they are not fasting themselves. Those students who are fasting may become tired and thirsty during the school day.
The EMA Network Team will be available at the EMA resource centre on Thursday 15 February (12.30 - 3.00pm) to provide advice and guidance on Ramadan, including a short presentation at 12.30pm. If you hope to attend please email: ema@milton-keynes.gov.uk
