Supporting businesses and the wider economy is one of our top priorities. The Economic Development team works to support businesses and the growth of the Malvern Hills district economy. This month the team have been working on:
- Awarding Upskilling Grants to businesses who have taken on apprentices and trained employees.
- Continuing to promote The Malverns as a visitor destination, including the new ‘Feel On Top Of The World’ campaign.
- Planning Easter and Coronation town centre promotions and finalising new town maps and flags to be launched in April.
- Awarding grants to new and growing businesses in the district.
- Alongside progressing the UKSPF programme, we were pleased to see that an extension for Malvern Panalytical to its Grovewood Road premises and a new farm hub complex at Madresfield Estate both received planning consent bringing investment to the area.
- Securing £66K for a changing places toilet at Croome National Trust to provide fully accessible facilities.
- Contributing to the discussion of how best to support and promote workplace health in the future – building on the existing Worcestershire Works Well programme.
