Medway residents praise volunteers for creek clear out.
Facebook followers showed their support after our Environmental Services team joined forces with @MedwaySwaleEstuaryPartnership and Morrisons Strood, to clear shopping trolleys and other discarded items and rubbish from Jane’s Creek, between the supermarket and Strood Retail Park.
The annual voluntary clear out of the waterway sees the partners spend the day dragging out various items including a bicycle but the main haul is usually trolleys, for salvage and re-use, if possible.
