Every September volunteers across the country organise events to celebrate our fantastic history and culture. It's your chance to explore hidden places in Maidstone, many of which are not normally open to the general public, and try out new experiences - all of which are FREE!

Get ready for a fantastic family weekend of Kentish fun at Kent Life as Hops ’n’ Harvest Family Festival returns bigger and better than ever!
There’s something for everyone to enjoy, from live music and delicious food to fairground rides, bouncy castles and children’s entertainment. Little ones can also enjoy the much-loved Foam Party Disco, perfect for dancing, bubbles and plenty of fun!
Discover the traditions of the Kentish hop harvest with traditional hop-picking, explore vintage houses and step inside a real hop caravan to learn more about life for hop workers in years gone by.
With 40 cask ales and ciders to sample, tasty food stalls and the unmistakable aroma of freshly harvested hops filling the air, it’s a wonderful celebration of Kent’s heritage, harvest and community.
