Light Up Maidstone ✨
Get ready for a magical evening in Maidstone as Light Up Maidstone illuminates the Town Centre on Friday 6 February. From 5.30pm to 7.30pm, the streets will come alive with glowing displays, community groups, dancers and artists in a stunning celebration designed for all ages.
The parade starts at County Hall, along Week Street and to Jubilee Square, where the parade will be followed by a vibrant finale hosted by KMFM presenters Rob and Numi. Enjoy music, dance and live entertainment as the evening builds to a sparkling close at 7.30pm.

Wool Week at Creative Maidstone |

Join Creative Maidstone as they get cosy and celebrate the most versatile natural fibre – wool!
Throughout the week, they will be exploring all things wool-related, from spinning and weaving to knitting and needle-felting. There will be live demonstrations, opportunities to ‘have a go’ and some workshops too.

Celebrate Lunar New Year 2026 in Maidstone with a vibrant programme of traditional performances and lively festivities.
The celebrations begin at 12pm with the eye‑dotting ceremony and lion dancing, followed by a colourful mix of He Wei Opera, Jose Navarro’s traditional Chinese puppet shows, and music from the SOAS Ensemble throughout the afternoon.
Dancing Lions return at 1.30pm before the final round of performances, with celebrations concluding at 2.30pm. Join us in the town centre for an afternoon full of culture, colour and community spirit.
