Littering & Fly-Tipping Survey

Help Us Tackle Fly-Tipping and Litter in Maidstone

We are inviting Residents and businesses across Maidstone to share their views and experiences around fly-tipping and litter in Maidstone. We are seeking to understand what types of litter you are seeing and seeking ways to reduce fly-tipping and littering and maintain a clean and tidy borough, that meets the expectations of our residents.

Planning Validation Checklist 2025

We are consulting on the following changes to the Local Validation Checklist:

1. Introduce a limits on the age of documents and information for:
   • A5: Site Specific Flood Risk Assessment
   • A6: Ecological/Protected Species Survey
2. To include the requirement for a Parking Stress Surveys (A16 & A17) to be undertaken for all applications for new or converted Houses of Multiple Occupation (HMOs) and designated settlements (agreed by Cabinet in July as part of the HMO SPD(External link)).
3. To introduce the requirement for applications to demonstrate how they have used BfL12(External link) when designing developments.
