Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) wants to know now how we can make the food waste service easier to use. The more feedback we receive, the more we can learn and improve our service.
Help us by taking part in our short survey about Food Waste and submitting your tips for reducing food waste to our ideas board.

We have been awarded grant funding from Kent County Council to promote areas of Maidstone as smoke-free.
We are asking people to not smoke or vape in these areas so that the air quality for everyone is improved as they enter and exit buildings, and smoke does not drift into buildings causing further harm.
|
We are running a short survey to find out what people think about smoking in public.

Survey closes: 23 March 2025

Closing soon - Conservation Area Appraisals - Bearsted, Detling & Otham |
|
Conservation Areas in Maidstone have special value for communities and for the whole of the borough. They form visible links with our past and offer beautiful surroundings, so it is important to ensure that the special characteristics of these areas are protected and that appropriate enhancements are encouraged. |
|
The proposed Over-arching Conservation Area Management Plan provides a framework system to ensure that these characteristics are protected or enhanced. It does not introduce new policies or restrictions; it is designed to help ensure that changes help to protect the Conservation Area.
Originally drafted to help the Conservation Areas that do not currently have a Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan, this document will also help support the Conservation Areas that need updated management plans.
|
|
We would like feedback on the draft Conservation Area Management Plans for:
Bearsted Detling Otham
We want to hear from as many people and organisations as possible; including Maidstone residents, and individuals who work in or visit Maidstone.
Consultation closes: 9 March 2025.
Click below to visit the project page, read the draft plan and provide your feedback.
