Climate Change Survey 2023

Polling Districts Review 2023

The Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013 requires the Council to conduct a review of the Borough’s polling districts and polling places every five years. The review covers the boundaries of polling districts and the locations of designated polling places. 

We are consulting on the Polling Districts and Polling Places for all the Maidstone wards. Have your say on the proposals for your area. 

Survey closes: 7 November 2023.

All areas of the borough are being considered. 

All submissions must be made by 7 November 2023. The (Acting) Returning Officer’s comments will be published and available to view, alongside relevant maps, at Maidstone House as well as on the Council’s website.

Homeslessness & Rough Sleepers Strategy

The Homelessness Act 2002 (as amended) requires local housing authorities in England to formulate and publish a strategy in response to an assessment of homelessness within their area.  Complete the short survey requesting feedback and suggestions for the Homelessness & Rough Sleepers Strategy. Scarecrow Festival 2023 Voting

Vote for your favourite Scarecrow in Maidstone's Scarecrow Festival 2023. You will be able to find scarecrows at Fremlin Walk, The Mall, Lockmeadow, Royal Star Arcade and other businesses around the town centre throughout the half term week. Voting closes: 29 October 2023

Local Plan Review  

The Local Plan Review will provide the planning framework for development in the borough until 2038. The polices within the plan will be used to assess planning applications and guide future development in the borough.

The Local Plan Review has been through the main stages of examination hearings in public which were held by Planning Inspector David Spencer. Maidstone Borough Council are now publishing the Inspector’s proposed main modifications for consultation.
