Metrolink: Deansgate – Castefield Emergency Works
KeolisAmey Metrolink, TfGM’s Metrolink operator, will be undertaking emergency Metrolink engineering works to complete a rail break fix at Deansgate-Castlefield on Sunday 13th July 2025 from approximately 2am until 2pm.
The works have the potential to create noise at times. Noise reduction measures will be in place to minimise the impact of any noise.
To allow these engineering works to take place safely, no trams will be able to operate through Deansgate-Castlefield from 2am until 2pm on Sunday 13th July and service changes will be in place across the network during this time. To help mitigate this impact, a Metrolink replacement bus service will be in operation between Piccadilly and Deansgate-Castlefield.
If you require further information regarding these Metrolink works, please contact the Customer Relations team on 0161 244 1000 or email hello@beenetwork.com

Zero Carbon and Climate Change
Join us on our journey to make Manchester an inclusive, zero-carbon city. We have an ambitious plan to reach zero carbon by 2038.
Below are a few ways you can get involved;
- If your business sells hot drinks to take away, you can make a big difference by using returnable cups. We’re working with the University of Manchester and In Our Nature to bring the Bee Cup to hot drink retailers across the city. It’s already working well on campus and in cafés on Oxford Road. The distinctive black and yellow cup can be returned to any participating café. Find out more at The Bee Cup | Action for businesses and organisations | Manchester City Council
- Become a refill site - There are more than 400 places in the city where you can fill a water bottle. Find out more about Refill Manchester.
- GM Business Growth Hub - The GM Business Growth Hub can help you to reduce costs and be more sustainable. Find out more about the GM business Growth Hub.
- GMCA Refill Survey - In partnership with the environmental charity City to Sea, GMCA are conducting the short survey to better understand how businesses currently offer or promote refillable and reusable options, and how customers engage with these. Your insights will help shape future strategies to make reuse more accessible across the region.
