Summer coach trips
The Space Group and 4CT have a fun-packed 6-week programme planned with the support of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme and the Local Offer. This week, we start with a fantastic line up of coach trips, including Llandudno, Blackpool Zoo, Farmer Ted’s, Tatton Park and Monkey Forest. There are also places on a Gulliver’s World make-your-own-way sleepover.

MCR Social sports 14-17s
There are new inclusive football and basketball sessions every Monday at Platt Lane Sports Complex, M14 7UU for disabled and neurodivergent young people aged 14 to 17. Football runs from 5-6pm, followed by basketball from 6-7pm. The MCR Social sessions are free and designed to help young people improve their skills, meet new people, and have fun. MCR Social Noise Lab
There are places up for grabs on Noise Lab, a free weekly workshop for disabled and neurodivergent teens who want to learn to make music - from learning an instrument, the basics of music theory, creative songwriting, and performing - in a fun inclusive environment. It’s on Thursdays 6-8pm at Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN), Greenfish Resource Centre, 46-50 Oldham Street, M4 1LE and is for neurodivergent and disabled 14-17 year olds living in the Manchester City Council area. Free roller skating
The next exclusive hire roller skating session is coming up for SEND families living in the Manchester City Council area. It’s on Sunday 13th July, 12-2 at Ardwick Sports Hall, 225 Stockport Rd, M12 4DY. For a chance of free places, please text the word ROLLER to The SPACE Group, with the full name of participants and your postcode to 07749 116211 between 9am on Monday 7th July to 6pm on Wednesday 9th July. All texts within the time period will be responded to. Please send only one!
Free cycling for 11-16s
There are free weekly cycling sessions for young people aged 11-16 with SEND or emotional and mental health needs, living in the Manchester City Council area. They’re every Saturday 11am-3pm, meeting at the Procter Learning Centre, Hulme Street, Off Jackson Crescent M15 5EF. Bikes, helmets and other safety equipment are provided for cycle routes across Greater Manchester, along with regular bike maintenance sessions. All young people take part in a pre-ride induction before attending Saturday rides but need to be competent riders. Our next drop in is on Wednesday 16th July, 10am-12pm at Manchester Youth Zone, 931 Rochdale Road, Harpurhey M9 8AE. These monthly free events are for parents/carers and young people with SEND up to 25 in the Manchester City Council area. They offer a chance to talk to a range of services and get support. Your children don’t need to have a diagnosis. All welcome – including professionals. Drop in bulletin due out soon!

MPCF coffee morning
The next coffee morning with Manchester Parent Carer Forum (MPCF) is on Monday 7th July, 10am-12pm at Martenscroft Nursery and Sure Start Centre in Hulme, 33 Epping Street, M15 6PA. It’s an opportunity to meet and chat to fellow parents and carers of children and young people with SEND in a relaxed and friendly setting. Please book through Eventbrite.

Anxiety toolkit
I AM autism anxiety toolkit offers practical strategies and tools to help children and young people navigate anxious moments with confidence. From sensory-friendly techniques to communication aids, this toolkit is designed to empower families in supporting their loved ones.
