There's Loads To Do this half term

Looking for things to do during the half term?  Then look no further!

Manchester City Council has teamed up with communities and activity leaders across the area to put all school holiday activities and events onto one website loadstodo.co.uk/schoolhols

There are plenty of fun activities to keep children and young people entertained, from sporty holiday camps to family-friendly events. Plus, as many of them are free or low cost, they won’t break the bank.

Here are just some of the highlights:

  • Adventures in Wonderland: Step into a magical interactive world of adventure at Z-arts.
  • People’s History Museum: Create your own mini book about the life of one of the heroes featured in the museum’s galleries.
  • Aviva Studios: Create dancing stick men, join a collage workshop, or craft your own Zine! There's plenty on offer at these free, drop-in workshops for families and children.
  • Free Swimming: Young people under 16 can enjoy free swimming during public swim sessions throughout the school holidays.
  • Science and Industry Museum: There's a range of free activities for all ages, inspired by the museum’s latest exhibition – Operation Ouch!
  • Elizabeth Gaskell’s House: Visit Manchester’s historic literary house, where you’ll find activities for everyone, from craft activities for kids to a beautiful garden and Tea Room.
