Apprenticeship Standards
A - Z of Apprenticeship Standards
Apprenticeship standards show what an apprentice will be doing in each apprenticeship. Every apprenticeship standard is linked to a job role and sets out the knowledge, skills and behaviours required in that role
 Employ an Apprentice
Here at Manchester City Council, we are proud to celebrate the incredible contributions and achievements of our apprentices. Since April of this financial year (2024-2025), we have facilitated over 110 new apprentices, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to nurturing local talent and providing meaningful opportunities. Through the gifting of levy funds to more organisations across Manchester, we have extended our support to help even more organisations invest in apprenticeships, amplifying the impact on our community.

School and College Leaver Apprenticeship Programme
Our School and College Leaver Apprenticeship Programme has opened doors for 22 Manchester residents and young people, offering valuable entry-level roles and pathways to build successful careers. We remain steadfast in our dedication to promoting apprenticeships across all entry-level positions within the council, wherever possible, ensuring these opportunities remain accessible to all.
