We hope this email finds you well.
We need to change collection days because of the way Christmas bank holidays fall and we know you appreciate this information as early as possible so that you can make your arrangements.
Please note the following changes for this year:
- Bins usually emptied on Monday 26 December move to Tuesday 27 December
- Bins usually emptied on Tuesday 27 December move to Wednesday 28 December
- Bins usually emptied on Wednesday 28 December move to Thursday 29 December
- Bins usually emptied on Thursday 29 December move to Friday 30 December
- Bins usually emptied on Friday 30 December move to Saturday 31 December
If you are unsure of your usual collection days, you can check them in advance at manchester.gov.uk/bincollections
We have shared information about what to do with real Christmas trees at https://secure.manchester.gov.uk/info/200084/bins_rubbish_and_recycling/7094/recycling_at_christmas - please share this with your colleagues.
Please note that one of our charity partners is offering an extra christmas tree recycling option in some postcodes this year. They are M1, M2, M3, M4, M13, M14, M15, M16, M19, M20, M21, M22 and M23. They can arrange a bulk collection of trees from your building(s), or residents can arrange a collection on an individual basis.
We'd appreciate it if you could amplify our messages about real Christmas tree recycling and minimising waste over the festive season. We'll be posting during December and January on our social media channels - twitter.com/ManCityCouncil and facebook.com/mancitycouncil
