Council unveils cost of living support package
In response to the deepening cost of living crisis which is affecting thousands of Mancunians, the Council has announced its package of support going into the winter.
More than £8m is being made available to support some of the city's most vulnerable residents, as well as a hotline being set up to offer guidance and advice for people who may be struggling.

 Manchester is the only place to celebrate Christmas this year
The dates of the world-famous Manchester Christmas Markets have been announced.
From November 12 to December 22 the city centre will be transformed into a hub of festivities, with old favourites returning to bring some Christmas cheer to the thousands of anticipated visitors.

Residents are being asked what they think about the Council's new vision for Wythenshawe town centre.
Through this consultation the Council hopes to get a better picture of what the priorities of residents are, as well as their views on plans to build a food hall, civic square as well as a cultural hub.
