 Friday 5 August 2022
Welcome to the latest edition of the update letting LCO MFT deployed staff know more about the introduction of the new Hive digital transformation programme and electronic patient record (EPR) system at MFT which launches in about four weeks' time.
In this edition -
- Update on EpicCare Link training launch for LCO staff
- Drop in sessions for LCO Hyperspace users next week.
- The e-learning module for the EpicCare Link read only access to Hive that all LCO staff using clinical systems will need to complete is almost ready for launch. EpicCare Link is the web portal that will allow community and non-MFT staff to view a real-time version of a patient’s Hive MFT medical record using the internet
- We had hoped to launch this slightly earlier in August but want to make sure this is right for staff before we do. We have been testing the package and making a few changes with the MFT Hive team and our staff
- The good news is that the e-learning will now be in one easy to access module and it is estimated that it will take no longer than 45 minutes to complete
- Please plan for some time in the second half of August for completing this training. We'll let all staff know as soon as it is live.
- The e-learning will be accessed through the Learning Management System (LMS) that you should have registered for access to by now - https://mftlearninghub.kallidus-suite.com/

Face to face drop in sessions for LCO teams on Thursday 11th August
We've set up some sessions on Thursday for HIVE hyperspace users (so those LCO staff/teams who have fuller access to Hive and who have attended Face to Face training already) to get support with the PLY ‘playground’.
The PLY is the test version of Hive where staff can practice what they have learnt in their training before the system go-live in September.
The sessions are ideal if you are struggling to get the most out of the playground or wish to get support with things such as logging on or navigating. Digital facilitators will be available to take you through anything you want to ask.
It’s a drop-in session so you can come anytime during these times but to help us manage numbers and best use the digital facilitators we'd be grateful if you could book that you'll be coming using the links below:
Sessions on Thursday 11th August are at three community venues:
-
9.00 - 12.30 - Levenshulme Health Centre, Dunstable Street, Manchester, M19 3BX - book here
-
1.30 - 4.30 - Higher Openshaw Primary Care Centre, Seminar Room, 1344 Ashton Old Rd, Openshaw, Manchester M11 1JG - book here
-
1.30 - 4.30 - Trafford General Hospital, Orthopaedic Outpatient Meeting Room - book here
A reminder that this is for staff who have already had their face-to-face training and will be using the Hyperspace inpatient or outpatient version of Hive.

The sessions take place every Friday from 9.30 to 10.30 am. You don't need an appointment, just dial in at any time during the hour to chat with the team.
If you have any issues, try this direct link below or email Justine Baines, LCO digital matron, at justine.baines@mft.nhs.uk who can dial you in
