Last month's Team Brief recording and how to join for July's event
We had another successful Team Brief event on Thursday 16 June where we heard the latest LCO news from our Chief Executive Katy Calvin-Thomas. She talked about the new Greater Manchester Integrated Care System, the TLCO and MLCO Operating Plans, a leadership development opportunity and much more.
For those who were unable to attend, please see our internal YouTube channel for the recording of the event. The video is just over 20 minutes long.
Next Team Brief date
Thursday 21 July at 9:30am via Microsoft Teams. Use this registration form to add the date to your diary or join on the day using this meeting link. Everyone is welcome.
New regular drop-in sessions to meet with our Director or Nursing
A series of sessions start this month where you can meet and ask questions to our LCO Director of Nursing and Professional Lead Lorraine Ganley. She’ll also be joined at these sessions by Paula Flint, LCO Deputy Director of Nursing.
The first session will be held in room 27 at the Cheetham Hill Primary Care Centre on Wednesday 13 July from 12:30pm to 1:30pm. Please add this date to your diary and share it with your colleagues on your team if they’d like to come along. Everyone is welcome.
Lorraine and Paula then plan to host further sessions going forward across our different localities, with these dates to be confirmed. As soon as the dates become available, we’ll include them in a future fortnightly bulletin.
Note on arrival, please report to the reception and ask for Ryan Howarth. Ryan will then lead you to room 27.
Spotlight Sessions in July
Community of Practice Spotlight Sessions focus on important current topics that are relevant across the city. They’re open to all staff and are held across the three Manchester localities.
Over the course of July, the Spotlight Sessions will have guest speakers talking about anti-discriminatory practice, reablement and crisis response and our revised strength-based tools. To find out more, including dates of the sessions and how book, see the full update [PDF, 156KB].
MFT have launched a new way to report exposure incidents including needlesticks, bites or scratches which may result in potential exposure to a blood borne virus. You can now submit your own exposure incident information online rather than waiting on the phone to speak to the Employee Health and Wellbeing (EHW) Team. To find out more, see the full update we’ve added to the LCO extranet [login required].

Together you’ll then lead on and oversee the implementation of the strategy throughout our services.
