Easter SEND Community Offer

Cycling & Egg Hunt

Join the free Simply Cycling sessions this Easter Holidays and take part in an egg hunt each time. These fun outdoor sessions with a range of adapted bikes are for Manchester SEND families and include free refreshments and snacks. No need to book, just turn up.

Monday 4th April - Longford Park, 12-2pm
Tuesday 5th April - Boggart Hole Clough, 10am-2pm
Wednesday 6th April - Wythenshawe Park, 12-3pm
Monday 11th April - Longford Park, 12-2 pm

Family Forest School

Have fun in the outdoors at the Stay & Play drop ins, Monday 4th and 11th, Tuesday 5th and 12th April, 10-3pm at Platt Fields Market Garden. For Manchester SEND Families only. To book your free places, including lunch, see the contact information on the Manchester Bees Forest School website.

Free Sensory Rooms

The popular Sensory Rooms at Redbank House in Cheetham Hill are back for Easter. Free slots are available at various times during the week from Monday 4th to Friday 8th April and Monday 11th to Thursday 14th April. Manchester SEND families only and booking essential – call 0161 214 5959 or email info@redbankhouse.com.

SEND families have free use of the Sensory Room at Benchill Community Centre in Wythenshawe during the Easter holidays. It has a waterbed, interactive sound wall, infinity tunnel, bubble tubes, animated projections - and more. Each slot is for 45 minutes and on the hour, Monday 11th April to Thursday 14th April 10am–7pm. Up to five family/group members per session. Call 0161 946 9520 to book, using the code ‘SEND Community Offer’ – Manchester families only.

Activities With MYZ

SEND activities with Manchester Youth Zone for Manchester young people. Tuesday 5th April, 10am-4pm 14-25 yrs, Wednesday 12th April, 10am-4pm 8-14yrs. To book and for more information, contact

Playing Out

Activities with SEND specialist support at Crumpsall Park on 12th and 14th April 2-6pm for Manchester families. Book by phoning James on 07800 849705.

Love Digital Family

Fancy making a family lego movie using Stop Motion? Sign up using this form to reserve a place for your Manchester family on this SEND Community Offer activity, Tuesday 5th April 10am-2pm, SENDCode, Holyoake House M60 0AS. Refreshments provided. Changemakers Holiday Activity

Manchester young people aged 12-15 are invited to a Changemakers Open Day with Xbox and retro gaming, pizza, and crafts. It's on Tuesday 12th April, 11.30am-2pm at the Green Fish Resource Centre, Oldham Street, Manchester. Find out how to have a SEND voice in the city while making new friends and having fun! Creative Workshops

Get Biking

Mancycles and GMYN are offering an exciting opportunity for Manchester young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to take part in a weekly cycling project over the spring and summer. Riding sessions are every Saturday 11am-3pm, meeting in Hulme. Bikes, helmets and other safety equipment are provided for cycle routes across Greater Manchester. Music-making With Billy & Andy

Andy and Billy run brilliant Holiday Music Clubs geared to young people with SEND. The 2022 programme is at Gorse Hill Studios in Stretford. All sessions start at 10am and finish at 1pm with chance for a short break in the middle.

Other Stuff To Do

Netball Fun

The new Inclusive ParaNetball Club is on the first Saturday of every month, 10-11am. The next date is Saturday 2nd April - book using this Eventbrite link. The club is open to girls and boys, as well as siblings, and is at Wright Robinson Sports College, Gorton. See the Dominoes website for more information. Currently, the sessions are free to attend. Future date: May 7th.

Let's Get Muddy

Following a successful trial run, Let’s Get Muddy is now 10am-12 noon every Saturday at Platt Fields Market Garden. Parents are asked to stay with their children but it’s a chance to create stories, play games together and connect with other families in the oasis of the Market Garden. Bookings are online. Easter In The Libraries

Spring into the Easter Holidays with Manchester Libraries’ free seasonal craft activities for children and families. With cuddly chicks, cute eggs and funny bunnies popping up all over, make something fun and fluffy to take home this Easter holiday. All sessions are 2-3pm, except for Miles Platting Library (2-4pm):

Art Gallery Open Doors

Open Doors is a series of creative sessions at Manchester Art Gallery for autistic children and their families and carers. The next session is Tuesday 12th April. Free Swimming

Manchester under 17s can swim for free during designated public general swim sessions over the school holidays and at weekends during term time. Find out more on the MCRactive website.

It includes Heaton Park’s free new pop-up play area for young adventurers. Suitable for children aged 2-5 years, there will be ride-on toys for little ones to enjoy. There's also the regular Lego Club in Central Library.
