NHS GM Integrated Care – Formal consultation briefing sessions
All colleagues included in the transfer from Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group to NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care should have received an email today sent on behalf of Ian Williamson, Chief Accountable Officer. The email invites you to register for one of two briefing sessions, which formally launch a period of consultation regarding the transfer of all staff to the ICB.
Please make sure that you read the email and register for one of the virtual briefing sessions as soon as possible. They are scheduled on Monday 4 April and Thursday 7 April 2022.
If you think that you should have received the email but haven’t, please inform the People and Inclusion team at hrtransations.manchester@nhs.net to ensure that the current email circulation lists are up to date.

Ramadan Mubarak for all those observing the holy month of Ramadan. For Muslims worldwide, this is a time of fasting, prayer, reflection and community. This year, Ramadan begins on the evening of Saturday 2 April and ends on Sunday 1 May.
Line managers should take a look at the Religious holidays page which looks at the considerations they should make during different religious festivals. It also has advice on receiving the Covid-19 vaccine while observing the fast. This should be useful for colleagues who maybe fasting and are eligible to get vaccinated. To learn more and find out about the best practice for Ramadan at work, see the Ramadan 2022 guidance for staff page.
Stress Awareness Month
Stress Awareness Month has been held every April since 1992 to increase public awareness about both the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic. The past two years have really brought the effects of stress into focus for all of us. It is no longer something that we hear people talk about, but something we have experienced and continue to experience.
Stress is one of the great public health challenges of our time and is a significant factor in mental and physical health issues. Individually we need to understand what is causing us personal stress and learn what steps we can take to reduce it for ourselves and those around us.
Visit the Stress Management Society website for a Free Stress Guide and Individual Stress Test.
The Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP) has recently updated their wellbeing toolkit. You can download it on their website here.
Other means of support available to you include the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and the GM Resilience Hub.
Support the Ukrainians arriving in Manchester
We have seen in the news, the recent efforts to support evacuees from Ukraine into the United Kingdom. Manchester Airport is expected to be a key travel hub for Ukrainian refugees and displaced families.
In keeping with Manchester's proud tradition of hospitality and compassion, the Manchester Ukraine Welcome Fund went live last week. Every penny raised through this fund will go towards supporting Ukrainian evacuees in the city. This fund is something that everyone can contribute to and you can donate by visiting the Just Giving page.
