News From The SEND Inspection |
Following the recent Ofsted / CQC Joint Inspection on SEND in Manchester, the final findings have been published. Thank you to all the parent carers and children and young people who took part. Your contribution has been rightly celebrated. We have a culture of co-production and collaborative working in Manchester that helps to make things better for SEND families in the city. There is always room for improvement though and we know there are daily challenges for many of you.
One of the areas highlighted in the inspection was the Home to School Service. In response, Manchester City Council has commissioned an external review of the service. As part of this, there is an online survey for parent carers. If you have a couple of minutes, we would really appreciate you sharing your experience. There is also an online group consultation on Wednesday 16th February 6-7pm. See the MPCF website for how to take part. Telling us what works well and about the challenges and barriers you face, will help us improve this vital service.
We always welcome hearing about your experiences in the city. There are opportunities to do this in a way that fits with you and your life. Take a look at this information on the Local Offer website - ‘Get Involved & Have Your Say’.
