OUR FACE TO FACE DROP INS ARE BACK!
Manchester Local Offer Drop In
Wednesday 17th November, 10-12
Manchester Youth Zone, Harpurhey
We're looking forward to being back at Manchester Youth Zone in Harpurhey for our first face to face drop in over a year and a half.
Meet Services
Our drop ins are for parent carers and young people living in the city of Manchester. We'll be joined by SEND services, including Information, Advice & Support Manchester and Short Breaks. We'll also have Phil Samphire with us to tell you about the free Travel Training on offer for young people aged 14-25.
Talk To Other Parents
One of the best things about the drop ins is the chance to talk to other parent carers. The Manchester Parent Carer Forum (MPCF) and Manchester Parent Champions will be there to answer your questions and offer support, as well as new parent group SPACE, based in Collyhurst.
Giving You A Safe & Warm Welcome
The space we use at Manchester Youth Zone is very large and open, with high ceilings. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available and everyone is aware of the importance of social distancing.
Come in at the main entrance on Rochdale Road and you'll be directed through to us. We know you might feel unsure, especially if you haven't been to a drop in before, but you'll get a warm welcome. We'll get you a brew and have a chat to see how we can support you.
Don't Live In North Manchester?
You're welcome to come along from wherever you live in Manchester. We know that's not always easy, so we'll be doing our monthly Local Offer Drop Ins in other parts of the city. The next one will be in December - keep an eye out in our newsletters.
Local Offer Roadshow - NEW!
Newton Heath Library, Friday 26th November, 10-12
As well as our regular monthly drop ins, we're trying something new - the Local Offer Roadshow. The first of these is at Newton Heath Library on Friday 26th November, 10-12. Our staff member, Ali Davenport, and parent carers from Manchester Parent Champions and MPCF will be on hand to tell you about the Local Offer and signpost you to support. If you would like more information on or to talk about bringing the roadshow to your area or group, please email Ali at
ali.davenport@manchester.gov.uk or call her on 07971 587963.
