Guidance around meeting indoors
We are all looking forward to restrictions easing from next week, so we can do more of what we love. Everyone has already done so much to get us here. We are asking you to keep following the Covid guidance and still be cautious, especially when it comes to meeting indoors.
From Monday 17 May more Covid-19 restrictions will be eased in England. This includes:
- indoor gatherings of six people or two households
- new guidance on meeting friends and family
- outdoor gatherings of up to 30 people

A free rapid covid test is the best way to protect you and your loved ones
Having a free rapid Covid test twice a week (for people without symptoms) is the best way to protect you and your loved ones from the virus. Maqsood Ahmad, Chief Exec of the British Muslim Heritage Centre shows how easy it is to pick up free rapid Covid test kits from your local pharmacy or library in Manchester. Regular rapid testing is important as 1 in 3 people can carry (and potentially spread) the virus without knowing it.
Just a reminder that some of our assisted testing sites will close at:
- Moss Side Leisure Centre ATS – closes on Saturday 15 May 2021
- FC United – closes on Saturday 15 May 2021
- Platt Fields – closes on Monday 17 May 2021
