Date For Your Diary: March Drop In |
Our next drop in is on Wednesday 25th March, 10-12, at Woodhouse Park Lifestyle Centre, 206 Portway, Wythenshawe, M22 1QW. Drop ins are a great place to get information, as well as support from other parent carers.
We know people can feel unsure coming for the first time but we often see what a big difference it makes. One parent told us: ‘It took a lot of strength to get to a drop in but I am so glad I did. While there, I signed up to become a Parent Champion and it has changed my life forever.’
Future drop-ins: Wednesday 29th April, 10-12, Moss Side Powerhouse
Wednesday 13th May, 10-12, Manchester Youth Zone, Harpurhey
See our Local Offer drop in page on the website for more dates.

Changemakers Shine At Youth Awards
At the end of February, a group of Changemakers from Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN) attended the Manchester Youth Buzz Awards at the Etihad Campus.
They were delighted to be finalists, along with two other youth groups, in the Youth Project of the Year award, as a positive example of inclusivity and diversity. One of the Changemakers, Sam Hills (on the far right), was up for an individual award – which he won! The Young Achiever award celebrates the outstanding contribution and self-belief he has shown in all aspects of life.
The Changemakers are passionate about social change for disabled young people. To find out how to join this friendly and caring group, contact Ali Davenport, the Youth Engagement Officer at the Local Offer – a.davenport1@manchester.gov.uk, 07971 587963.
