Pay negotiations: Local Government pay 2024
On 1 November, agreement was reached on the 2024 pay award for local authority Craftworker (‘Red Book’) employees (log in required). The agreement covers the period 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.
Pay consultation: Teacher's pay 2024
The STPCD 2024 completed the parliamentary process on 8 November, is now final and confirms the 5.5 per cent pay uplifts.
Pay consultation: Teachers’ pay 2025
The consultation for the 2025 pay remit was published before the conclusion of the 2024 process. The LGA has surveyed Employer Link subscribers to inform the national employers (NEOST) evidence that will be submitted to the STRB shortly. Read the school teachers' pay 2025 page for more. Recruitment reset programme
The Recruitment Reset programme is a ten-week development programme designed to empower organisations with the tools, insights, and strategies needed to modernise their recruitment practices. By focusing on efficiency, effectiveness, and fairness, the programme aims to create a recruitment process that is not only inclusive but also sustainable, leading to a stronger and more resilient workforce. It is open to Employer Link subscribers. You can find more information on how to apply to the programme here.
The LGA will be holding a briefing session to learn more about the programme on Thursday 5 December 2024, 11.00am – 12.00pm. If you would like to join that session email David.drewry@local.gov.uk.
