Welcome to this month's events bulletin where the spotlight is on the Closing the Gap: Equality in pay and pensions virtual event on Thursday 9 May 2024. Seventy-eight per cent of the local government workforce are women. However, our gender pay and gender pension gap figures show that women continue to face inequality in our workplaces. Join us to explore how to create workplaces where councils can close these gaps and reap the benefits of a thriving female workforce.
Looking further ahead we have the Social work employer standards health check virtual event on Tuesday 28 May, If you are a principal social worker and your organisation took part in the 2023/24 social work employer standards health check, come to this lunchtime webinar to discuss this year’s survey. We will hear from the Department for Education and Work in Confidence, the survey provider, as well as a short presentation of this year’s headline results. This will be an opportunity to understand the national picture as well as feedback on your local results and experience of the survey.
