We welcome you to this month's events bulletin where the spotlight is on the Make a difference, work for your local council – A national recruitment campaign for local government (virtual event). A national recruitment campaign for local government has been co-produced with local authorities and Solace: ‘Make a Difference, Work for Your Local Council’. This event on 30 April will present the campaign, the findings from a pilot delivered in the North East, and the ambitions for a national roll-out.
Looking further ahead, The LGA Annual Conference and Exhibition on 2-4 July in Harrogate is fast approaching and if you haven’t had a chance to book your place, or view the live conference programme, to see who’s speaking, exhibiting and sponsoring, you can do so here www.local.gov.uk/conference
Over the three days, the programme will feature sessions on AI, asylum and resettlement, children and young people, climate, digital, economies, economic growth, fire, finance, health, housing, improvement, leisure, planning, resilience and transport, and much more. And with a programme of early morning and evening fringe sessions as well as a packed Innovation Zone, there’ll be plenty to pick and choose from.
