Crown Commercial Service annual report and accounts

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has published its annual report and accounts for 2022/23, which sets out how CCS has achieved a record £3.8 billion in commercial benefits for its customers across the public sector – an increase of £800 million compared to the previous year. 

My School Fund reaches £100,000 milestone

ESPO is celebrating a significant milestone of giving away £100,000 to schools since its launch in 2020. My School Fund, a partnership between ESPO, Sainsbury's and Argos, raises funds for schools and families through cashback rewards of which a percentage goes to a chosen school.

Funding for levelling up

The Government has published its response to the Levelling Up, Housing, and Communities Select Committee's report on funding for levelling up. The response outlines the Government’s view on its approach to levelling up, competitive funding, data and metrics, the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), consultation with devolved governments and local growth.

New round of Air Quality Grants

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has announced a new round of Air Quality Grants which aims to benefit communities and reduce the impact of polluted air on people's health. Councils across England can now apply for a share of £6 million of Government funding to deliver projects to improve air quality.

Fire safety remediation survey

The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) has written to all registered providers (RPs) regarding a voluntary fire safety remediation survey for buildings over 11m. The survey will be open from the week commencing Monday 21 August until Friday 15 September. It will seek assurance that RPs are meeting their obligations regarding the assessment, identification, and remediation fire safety risks under the Fire Safety Order. The Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) is requesting a spreadsheet of building-level information identifying any 11m+ buildings and remediation information, where relevant.
