Notices of industrial action ballots should now be arriving in organisations/schools as Unite has confirmed it will be conducting formal ballots
for industrial action of its LGS ‘Green Book’ and Craft ‘Red Book’ members between 13 June and 28 July.
Employers will be balloted on a disaggregated basis, which means strike action could be taken at each individual workplace/school
where a turn-out of over 50 per cent is secured (if members vote in favour of strike action).
The LGA/EL awaits confirmation of GMB’s next steps.
