Support for Integrated Care Partnership (ICP) leaders

The LGA and NHS Confederation are planning support for the leaders of ICPs and are proposing a national ICP Leaders network to discuss issues of common concern, share good practice and shape policy development. In the meantime, support on establishing the ICP and bespoke support for local health and care systems is available through, the joint LGA, NHS Confederation and NHS Providers Leading Integration Peer Support Programme. Induction Session for adult social care lead members and health and wellbeing board chairs

Aimed at new chairs of Health and Wellbeing Boards and new portfolio holders with responsibility for adult social care and health, this free induction session will explore current policy issues, look at the challenges for high profile leadership roles, and relate these to your local context. Webinar: Reducing preventable admissions to hospital and achieving better outcomes for people

This webinar will explore how two systems have tackled admission avoidance (in line with the Better Care Fund objectives) and prevention. It will look at how people are supported to stay at home in the community, reducing the need for unnecessary hospital admissions and improving the outcomes for people who are at risk of admission. Building confidence in what constitutes a safeguarding concern and carrying out safeguarding enquiries

We would like to hear from you if you have already progressed working with either the safeguarding concerns or enquiries frameworks, and:

  • you would like to discuss possible support from us with a challenge you have encountered (in particular, relating to safeguarding concerns) as you have implemented the frameworks
  • you have made progress on working with the concerns and enquiries frameworks that you can share.

The deadline for responses is Monday 13 June 2022.

Childhood Obesity Trailblazer Programme - Final Assembly (virtual meetings)

This Final Assembly provides an opportunity for those working in childhood obesity and healthy weight management to take stock and learn valuable lessons from the Childhood Obesity Trailblazer Programme and the five Trailblazer councils, particularly in light of the Government’s aspiration to build back better. East Midlands HWB and NHS Trust Chairs Development Network

In the East Midlands region there is a thriving network of Health and Wellbeing Board (HWB) chairs, lead members in adult social care, NHS Trust and other NHS chairs. The network looks at ways in which local authorities and NHS organisations are working together. Topics for the June meeting include tackling discharges and district council engagement with Integrated Care Systems. This virtual meeting takes place on Thursday 9 June 2.00pm – 3.30pm.
