Dear colleague,
As featured last month, planning for the LGA Annual Conference and Exhibition on 28-30 June in Harrogate continues to take shape and we’re delighted that the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, Rt Hon Michael Gove MP will be joining us to give a keynote speech.
The conference programme will cover a wide range of themes so there will be plenty of sessions to pick and choose from. Tuesday’s workshops will focus on cost of living pressures, supporting Ukrainian families, skills and jobs, integrated care, tackling modern slavery, planning and the future of our high streets. Wednesday’s workshops will discuss funding, climate change, equalities, digital, housing, public health, mental health, SEND, workforce, homelessness, public health and the visitor economy. And Thursday’s sessions will focus on civility in public life, adult social care, and maximising levelling up opportunities.
In addition to the main programme, there’ll be lots going on in the Innovation Zone as well as early morning and evening fringe sessions. Don’t forget to book your place if you haven’t already.
